These Fužine webcams show the village of Fužine live, from Lake Bajer and the houses and church along its shore to the toboggan run above the village. Fužine is a small resort in Gorski kotar, the green highland between Rijeka and Zagreb, and the live cameras let you see the weather, the lake and the atmosphere before you set off, whether you are planning a walk around the lake, a family day out or a weekend in the mountains.
The Lake Bajer webcam looks across Lake Bajer (Bajersko jezero) towards the village: the houses and the church tower of Fužine along the far shore, the dam and the footbridges at the water’s edge and the forested hills behind. On calm days the village is reflected in the water, and in autumn the trees around the lake turn yellow and red. Lake Bajer is an artificial lake, created by a dam, and the path along its shore is one of the most popular walks in Fužine.
The Fužine toboggan run webcam shows the toboggan run on the hillside above the village: the start of the track, the rails curving down the slope and the colourful slides beside it, with the forest and the meadows of Gorski kotar in the background. It is a handy way to see the conditions at the run before a family trip.
Live images are the quickest way to see what the day really looks like in Fužine: sunshine, fog or cloud over the lake, rain or snow, and how busy the shore and the toboggan run are at different times of day. In the mountains the weather can change quickly and is often different from the weather on the coast, so a look at the cameras is useful before driving up from Rijeka. In autumn the Lake Bajer webcam shows the colours of the forest, and in winter whether the village is covered in snow. Nearby, the Delnice webcams show the Petehovac mountain resort, and the Skrad webcam looks over Zeleni Vir.
