These Platak webcams show the Platak ski centre live, from the slopes and the lifts to the car park and the view down to the sea. Platak lies in the mountains of Gorski kotar, about half an hour’s drive from Rijeka, and the cameras let you see the snow, the weather and the conditions on the slopes before you set off, whether you are planning a day of skiing, a winter outing with the family or a summer hike.
The Platak ski slope webcam looks up the main slope from the bottom of the ski area, with the ski lifts, the children’s area and the café terrace at the foot of the slope and the forest around it. The Platak ski and sea webcam looks from the slopes over the snowy forest towards the sea, one of the views that make Platak special: on clear days you can ski with the Kvarner Bay and the islands below you. The Platak car park webcam shows the car park and the slopes on the hillside above it.
Platak is the ski resort closest to the sea in Croatia. The highest point of the ski area is Radeševo, at 1,363 metres, and because of its height Platak often has snow when the temperatures on the coast are well above zero. The slopes suit experienced skiers as well as beginners, snowboarders and families with small children. In summer Platak is a starting point for walks and hikes in the mountains of Gorski kotar, towards Snježnik and Risnjak National Park.
Live images are the quickest way to see what the day really looks like at Platak: how much snow there is on the slopes, whether the lifts are running, fog or sunshine, and how full the car park is. The weather in the mountains can be very different from the weather in Rijeka, so a look at the cameras is useful before driving up.
